To ensure every family has a wonderful stay and our beautiful partner sites remain pristine, we ask all guests to agree to the following Terms and Conditions:
Respect for the Land & "Leave No Trace"
-
Leave No Trace: We operate under a strict "Leave No Trace" policy to protect the natural beauty of the landscape.
-
Waste Management: All guests must use the provided waste management systems and ensure no litter is left behind on the land.
-
No Permanent Changes: Guests are prohibited from making any permanent changes to the land, such as digging or removing vegetation.
-
Respecting the Landscape: We ask all campers to respect the land, the wider landscape, and our local communities.
Site Use & Safety
-
Pre-Booked Guests Only: Our sites are for pre-booked guests only to maintain a peaceful environment; we cannot accept walk-ins.
-
Defined Areas: Camping and vehicle access are strictly limited to the defined areas agreed upon for each site.
-
Arrival & Departure: To ensure a smooth experience for everyone, please adhere to the clear arrival and departure times provided in your booking confirmation.
-
Unique Facilities: Please respect the specific on-site amenities and temporary structures provided at your chosen location.
Bookings & Compliance
-
Limited Numbers: We limit our sites to a maximum of 50 pitches to prevent overcrowding and minimize impact.
-
Regulations: All guests must comply with our site-specific rules and expectations to ensure we remain fully compliant with local regulations.
Cancellations & Refunds
We understand that plans can change, especially when you’re organising a family getaway. Because our sites are carefully managed with a limited number of pre-booked pitches, we use the following policy for cancellations:
-
More than 28 days before arrival: If you cancel at least four weeks in advance, you will receive a full refund (minus a small administration fee).
-
Between 28 and 7 days before arrival: Cancellations made during this window will receive a 50% refund.
-
Less than 7 days before arrival: Unfortunately, we are unable to offer refunds for cancellations made less than a week before your stay, as it is difficult to re-allocate your pitch on such short notice.
-
Weather Conditions: Camping is an authentic outdoor adventure! We do not offer refunds for "bad" weather unless we determine the conditions make the site unsafe for use.
-
Site Closure: In the unlikely event that we have to close a site due to circumstances beyond our control, you will be offered a full refund or a transfer to another exceptional Get Pitched location.
Personal Liability & Safety Terms
-
Assumption of Risk: Guests acknowledge that camping takes place on natural, undeveloped land which may contain uneven ground, natural hazards, and varying weather conditions.
-
Supervision of Minors: Parents and guardians are responsible for the safety and supervision of their children at all times while on-site.
-
Personal Property: Get Pitched and the landowner accept no liability for the loss, theft, or damage of personal belongings, vehicles, or camping equipment brought onto the site.
-
Adherence to Safety Signage: Guests must follow all safety instructions provided in our digital communications and on-site signage.
-
Fire Safety: If fires or BBQs are permitted at a specific site, they must be kept within designated areas or equipment and never left unattended.
-
Restricted Access: For your safety and to respect the landowner's privacy, guests must remain within the defined camping and access areas and must not enter farm buildings or restricted fields.
-
Insurance Coverage: While Get Pitched maintains public liability insurance for the operation of the site, this does not replace the need for guests to have their own suitable travel or personal liability insurance.
-
Conduct and Eviction: We reserve the right to ask guests to leave the site immediately, without a refund, if they breach safety rules or act in a way that endangers others or the land.
Accessibility at Get Pitched
At Get Pitched, we believe that everyone should have the chance to reconnect with nature. We are committed to making our website and our campsites as inclusive and accessible as possible.
We aim to meet the WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility standards. This means our site is designed to be easy to read, navigate, and use with assistive technology. If you find any part of our website difficult to use, please let us know so we can fix it.
Because our "exceptional places" are natural, private land, each site has its own unique character and terrain.
-
Terrain: Our pop-up sites are often located in meadows or fields which may have uneven and soft ground.
-
Facilities: Each site has unique facilities. We provide detailed descriptions of the toilets, showers and any other facilities on each individual sites page.
-
We’re here to help: If your family has specific accessibility requirements, whether it's regarding wheelchair access, quiet zones, or nearby medical facilities, please contact us before booking. We’ll be happy to help you find the site that’s the best fit for you.
